    It?s 5 a.m. on a summer morning and almost all of Orange is still asleep. But on the dimly lit Wilson Field, a thin shadow can be seen and faint sounds of footsteps and panting can be heard. This is junior center back Faith Holloway doing her routine summer soccer and fitness training on the empty field just in time before she has to leave for her research internship at Zymo Research Corporation, a biotech firm in Irvine.

    Sophomore Brody Hval equaled the lowest round and lowest two-round score in school history to lead the Chapman University men?s golf team to a third-place finish at the CA State Intercollegiate. The Panthers turned in two solid rounds in a row to place third among the 12 teams at the tournament.

    VENTURA, Calif. ? The Chapman University women?s golf team opened up their Fall 2018 season at the California State Intercollegiate Tournament that featured 12 different teams. The Panthers took ninth place with a team score of 634 (+58) over the two-round tournament.

    The winning streak extended to nine matches as the Chapman University volleyball team swept through visiting Occidental on Tuesday. Freshman Jessi Lumsden led the way with 15 kills for the Panthers (11-1, 3-0 SCIAC) in the 25-21, 25-16, 25-13 victory.

    ORANGE, Calif. - The Chapman University women?s soccer team dropped a narrow 1-0 match to the visiting University of Redlands Bulldogs (3-2-1, 2-0-1 SCIAC) earlier this evening. Despite outshooting Redlands 17-6, the Panthers (3-5, 0-3 SCIAC) could not find the back of the net.

    Freshman Arabella Reece took down the school record for the women?s 5k as she paced the Chapman University cross country teams at the UCR Invitational on Saturday. Reece bettered the previous record by 30 seconds.

    The Chapman University football team scored 21 points in the fourth quarter but its comeback attempt ran out of time as the Panthers fell 31-28 at Whitworth. The Panthers? offense gained over 500 yards in the loss.

    ORANGE, Calif. ? The Chapman University men?s soccer team earned a big 2-1 victory over SCIAC opponent Occidental on Saturday evening. Senior James Tribbey led the way with a game-winning goal to give the Panthers the edge.
