The College Sports Information Directors of America named Mark Hallman of the Pomona-Pitzer Men?s Swimming & Diving program to the Google Cloud Academic All-America At-Large Team. This award is given to the nation?s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
2018 marked a successful year for the Claremont Colleges Rugby team as the Men's (Lions) and Women's (Foxes) teams placed high in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO). Several Pitzer students shone during the season as Dana Alimena ('19) of the Foxes was selected by NSCRO to be on the Select 7s team while Abraham Asante ('20) was nominated for the Penn Mutual Life of Significance Award.
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) named Pomona-Pitzer Men?s Tennis Head Coach Steve Bickham onto the ITA Board of Directors on Thursday morning, announcing 18 other members whose work will begin July 1, 2018. The final day of the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship bode well for the Pomona-Pitzer Men?s and Women?s Track and Field program as the afternoon ended with two Sagehens, Andy Reischling and Helen Guo, taking home All-American honors.
